Changing users or moving house? What you need to know
When moving from a house where Ngenic Tune is installed, you need to decide whether to leave the system for the new homeowner or take it with you to your new home.
Leave the system with all previous data deleted
- Delete your account in the Ngenic Tune app under Settings → Users → Delete account. Follow the instructions to confirm the deletion. The account and its associated data cannot be restored, and the deletion may take a few days to complete.
- The new homeowner can then install the system again at installation.ngenic.se using the PIN printed on the gateway.
Leave the system and keep its history
- Invite the new homeowner in the app under Settings → Users → Invite user. Only an admin user can send the invitation.
- The new homeowner creates a separate account from the invitation. The new account will initially have lower permissions than the admin account.
- Once the account has been created, contact support@ngenic.se. We can make the new user an admin and remove your access without deleting the system history.
Do not transfer your existing account by simply changing its name, email address and password. Personal data and other information may remain associated with the account. The new homeowner should create a separate account instead.
Take Ngenic Tune with you to your new home
- First, check that the heating system in your new home is compatible with Ngenic Tune at ngenic.se/kompatibilitet.
- When removing Ngenic Tune from the old house, disconnect the Y-cable and restore the original connection between the outdoor sensor and the heating system, for example with a suitable terminal block.
- When installing the system in the new house, use the ID tool to identify which conductors belong together if the outdoor-sensor cable has four conductors. If the cable has only two conductors, the ID tool is normally not needed.
If you no longer have the ID tool
- Open the outdoor sensor on the outside of the house and note how the conductors are connected.
- Use a multimeter to identify the two conductor pairs that have low resistance between them, normally around 0–10 ohms.
- Check how the outdoor sensor is connected to the heating system control board.
